Cleanup of Six-Foot Dallas Debris Pile Cleared by City Council

The debris pile identified as Shingle Mountain has stood behind a Dallas neighborhood for two years.

A bid to clean up a six-story pile of debris in Dallas, Texas was approved by the Dallas City Council on October 14, according to the Dallas Morning News.

The 175,000 yard debris pile, which has been named Shingle Mountain, will be cleared by Q. Roberts Trucking. The Dallas-based construction and disposal company’s bid was the lowest at $450,000.

The contract between the Dallas City Council and Roberts Trucking will last for the duration of one year. There is no concrete start date for clean up, but Roberts Trucking hopes to begin the process soon.

Roberts Trucking previously removed 130,000 yards of debris in Midlothian, Texas.
