Engineering consulting firm Terracon has acquired Rhode Island-based SAGE Environmental and SAGE EnviroTech Drilling Services in a move to enhance Terracon's Northeast services.
According to a recent release, SAGE provides a range of services that includes assessment, remediation, redevelopment, permitting, regulatory compliance, health and safety, environmental and geotechnical drilling, and specialized remedial injections. With this move, Terracon aims to leverage SAGE’s industry experience and track record to benefit its clients.
“We are excited to offer our clients access to the high level of expertise and quality of environmental and drilling services that SAGE offers,” Terracon Chair, president and CEO Gayle Packer said in a statement. “With their established, award-winning track record, we are confident SAGE will provide even more clients in the Northeast with excellent service.”
The acquisition will integrate SAGE’s 33 employees into Terracon's operations. The teams will continue to serve clients under the names SAGE Environmental, A Terracon Company, and SAGE EnviroTech Drilling Services, A Terracon Company. This merger is expected to bolster Terracon’s presence in the Northeast, supported by existing operations throughout the region.
“Now that we’ve joined Terracon, our clients will continue to benefit from the expertise and creative solutions they’ve come to expect from SAGE over these past 28 years, while also enjoying expanded access and support from Terracon’s regional and national resources and multidiscipline services,” said SAGE Owner Rick Mandile said in a statement.
This acquisition marks Terracon’s second of 2024 and its 22nd since 2017. The company has over 6,000 employees across more than 175 locations nationwide.
